Levolor has just replaced their entire cellular shade line with a new collection called Levolor Accordia Cellular Shades. Several new styles and over 200 colors are now available. Levolor has continued some of their popular colors into the new line and introduced many more. Accordia Cellular Shades also come with many cord control options: from cordless top down/bottom up to blinds for specialty shapes that hasn’t changed. In addition to what Levolor used to offer with their cellular line they now offer more climate control.
In warmer climates, Accordia are the only Cellular shades that let you add an extra layer of protection for energy efficiency. On select styles you can add something called Energy Shield. Energy Shield is an additional insulator to help with reducing your heating and cooling energy costs. Energy shield is a great feature for warmer climates especially because it helps keep the hot air outside and your air conditioning inside.
If you live in a cooler climate, look at the Sheer Efficiency line. Sheer Efficiency boosts a reduction in annual energy bills, naturally heating the interior using the sun’s own warmth and blocking incoming cold air. Another great feature of Sheer Efficiency is that you get all those great benefits but you still get to look outside and let natural light in. I would compare the openness of these shades to a solar shade.
No matter where you live, Levolor’s new Accordia Shades has a style to help you keep your home comfortable while reducing energy costs. It may not stop climate change, but those energy savings certainly qualify as eco-friendly in our book!
